Τι είναι η καλλιτεχνική κινητικότητα;

Artistic mobility, the cross-border movement of artists to create, network and collaborate, is a critical element of the global artistic landscape. Mobility is intrinsically linked to artistic collaboration, as exposure to new cultures encourages creative exchanges and opportunities for artists to collaborate. However, as Marie Le Sourd, Secretary General of On The Move, a resource hub for cultural mobility, notes: “For some, mobility is a choice and a luxury. for others, it is an economic or political necessity. For many others it is not a realistic option or can only be accessed by invitation from a “western” partner. Meanwhile, mobility is being reshaped by the twin pressures of environmental and political upheaval…” These reversals speak to the challenges artists face in accessing international mobility. However, another important factor missing from the debate is the role that European cultural policy plays in addressing and shaping these issues.

• Και τέλος, στο Mid Term event του Δικτύου Culture for Change στη Πάτρα σε συνδυασμό με το Σενέδριο για τις Δημιουργικές Βιομηχανίες.
