Ethnological Museum of Thrace
Τhe Ethnological Museum of Thrace is a living cell where people can learn about the folk culture and the customs of Thrace, a place that will connect tradition and the memory contained within it with the concerns of modern society. The purpose of the museum is to study, project, and promote the Thracian culture. The Museum is aims for its place to be a motive for re-evaluation of tradition.The exhibits where organized in such a way so that the visitor can form a full picture of the traditional way of life in Thrace, especially in the North Evros prefecture from the late 17th century to the early 20th century.
Democritus University of Thrace, Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering
The Democritus University of Thrace (D.U.Th.) was established in July 1973. The University is organised in two Faculties and eighteen Departments located in four cities of Thrace - seven in Komotini, five in Xanthi, four in Alexandroupolis and two in Orestiada. The University plays an important and effective role in establishing the national and cultural significance of Thrace and is contributing to the high level of education of the Higher Education in Greece.
