The project DIVERTIMENTO – full title: “Diversifying tourism offers in peripheral destinations with heritage-based products and services, stakeholder-skills alliances to internationalize locally operating micro-enterprises”, which is funded by the COSME programme to promote the role of technology in cultural tourism, organized the 2nd Study Visit and Stakeholder Workshop in Castle Rače, Slovenia on 12 – 13 December 2016.
CulturePolis during the World Tourism Fair ITB, which held on 8-12 March 2017 in Berlin, successfully presented along with its partners the first results of the European project ‘Divertimento’. The official presentation took place on 08.03.2017 in the Italian pavilion, thanks to region of Campania’s gracious hospitality. The presentation was opened by the Italian Minister of Heritage, culture and tourism. During the event, Aldo di Russo presented EUROTHENTICA trilogy, including: “Cultural trails – ibook / epub – heritage games” which aims to promote 70 destinations with distinctive cultural identity and heritage through the use of new technologies.
Representatives of the partners, visited as a group the rest pavilions participating in the project, showed the project’s potential and met several businessmen and representatives of institutions that requested for more information about future use of the results. Finally, the partners made a formal working meeting on 9/3 and met the Community manager of COSME, Valentino Izzo, with whom exchanged views on project completion.
CulturePolis delegation consisting of six partners led by the chairman, in addition to unforgettable experiences, secured new partnerships, recorded ambitious ideas and developed its network of partners.
